Nowadays, the Internet is fully loaded with all sort of tools and solutions, even for the recovery of data from those scratched discs is so easy by means of a freely downloadable software. The CD Recovery Toolbox is a piece of free software that can recover damaged files from discs such as CDs, DVDs and even Blu-Ray or HD-DVD discs. So, for those unfortunate Blu-ray discs that start to rot, here comes your savior for recovering your precious data.
Install this recovery tool on your computer, run it, it will then present you a list of files that are still intact and recoverable. You can then select the files you want and get the software to copy to your selected folder on your drive. It comes with wizard to guide you through all the way. The software is 100% free that you can download from its website here. If you’re simply too bored, you could try using the USB CD destroyer to destroy a few CDs and then try using this software tool to check out if those destroyed discs are still recoverable for some data. If so, you’d probably have to take a step further i.e to break those discs by your two hands even after destroying them using the USB CD destoryer.
I’ve downloaded and installed the CD Recovery toolbox, but I haven’t got any CDs or DVDs that are bad enough with scratches for me to test the effectiveness of its recovery. I’m kinda unwilling to sacrifice few CDs of mine just to test its effectiveness. Maybe, later I’ll do, let me look around for some unwanted CDs first.
