Robina Robot as guide for Toyota's exhibition and signs autograph too
In Japan, robots have been used extensively. We’ve seen dancer, receptionist before and what else? Whether you like it or not or you’ve got a little bit fed up of hearing it, here is one more robot which is to work as a guide, to take care of the Japanese so they will not have lost their direction in those overly busy shopping complexes or exhibition centers.

The robot is called TPR-Robina, created by Toyota. The Robina robot is less than 4 feet while standing and weights around 130 pounds. Although this guy’s body looks pretty awkward, but it’s kinda highly aware about directions which it’s equipped with a system that can guide you around obstacles. It’s also equipped with image recognition system which allows it to read visitors’ name tags to deliver personalized guidance to the visitors. If you think she is so smart and you’d like to ask her for an autograph. No problem, her jointed fingers are able to grasp a pen to sign an autograph for you (I think it’s a female, by judging at the face in the picture with the hair that is long enough to be considered as a female figure). Anyway, she will be employed to work as a receptionist and guide at the Toyota Kaikan Exhibition Hall on August 27.
