Sharp has just unveiled an extremely thin LCD TV in its line, which it should be the thinnest ever and no other can compare. But this extremely thin LCD TV is still claimed to be “experimental” by the president of Sharp.
Sharp has also unveiled another very thin LCD TV earlier on, which was deemed to be the thinnest at that time as it carries a thickness of 3 1/4 inches only. But the newly unveiled one today is definitely much thinner. Instead of 3 1/4 inches it’s got a thickness of less than an inch, which is only three-quarters of an inch.
Sharp’s president didn’t leave too much detail about this very thin LCD TV. But he’s left behind the minimum info that you can get it as follows:
(that’s a maximum of just over one inch)
Contrast ratio 100,000:1
Living contrast: 3,000:1 (200 luces)
Color reproducibility at NTSC ratio approx 150 per cent
Response speed: 4 ms
Weight: 55 pounds
Annual electric power consumption: 140kWh

Sharp also showed off couple of ways of storing this super thin LCD TV, such as you can frame it up and hang it on the wall, just like you do for any oil painting!
