A dead man received a phone bill of $218 trillion. I hope you know how many zeros are in the trillion here, it’s a bit of wasting some space to print the big figure here.
The guy got billed by Telekom Malaysia of this big amount, which his contract had been canceled by his son, Yahaya Wahab, last January due to the father’s death.
And the son had settled the last amount, $23 or 84 in ringgit Malaysia, owed by the father.
But he got a bill sent by Telekom Malaysia later claiming for a super huge amount of 806,400,000,000,000.01-ringgit (U.S. $218 trillion), which this super huge figure with many trailing zeros almost got him fainted. The poor guy is now given only 10 days to settle this big amount or else legal action will be taken against him.
This is a biggest joke for us. What has gone wrong with the Telekom Malaysia, a system error with their computer system? Or the phone line has been stolen and used illegally by others. Or it could be calls from the grave….. zombie father calling those sex phone lines… Anyway, Mr Wahab is ready to face the legal action and he can’t wait to face it!

Telekom M’sia is the best co. in the world, offered the most efficient and productive services. It took me 6 trips to Telekom to settle a wrongly billed item. It’s really frustrated knowing how they work!

[...] Answer from the grave: Zombie father didn’t make those expensive sex-line calls. He isn’t to blame for putting the USD 218 millions on the son’s shoulder. The world’s highest phone bill, USD 218 millions, was due to typo. Telekom Malaysia put the blame on their debt collector and had issued a stern warning. Oh, I see, isn’t it the son had claimed earlier on that he’d settled the final bill of $23 (RM84), but it seems like the bill still dropped into the hands of the 3rd party that Telekom Malaysia outsourced the debt collection to?
