Mr MyFountain, a super bar tender but he’s a robot!

MyFountain super robotic bar tender
Nowadays, our world seems to be getting more robotic stuff to replace human. I now see another profession, the bar tender, is at the losing end to hand it over to the robots. What can we say? It’s robots are simply more precise than their creators and they’ll never get tired of doing the job, which they’re programmed to carry out. Anyway, this post is nothing about the fight between humans and robots for jobs. It’s about another robot, which is a robotic bar tender, called MyFountain.

MyFountain Touch screen software reminds me of Microsoft Surface Technology?
MyFountain is the kind of automated bar tender that takes your order, mixes your drink and of course it will do the clean-up work without leaving any mess. The robot is equipped with a touch screen interface, which is for you to select your choices of beverage for it to prepare. It can all do your favorite beverages including fruit juice, carbonated drink, flavored water, iced tea, beer, wine, or a mixed drink, as long as you place your order.

This guy also has a mini fridge attached underneath, which can hold up to dozen types of alcohol and mixers, a water-line link and a carbon-dioxide cartridge for effervesce. It’s a fully customizable device that you can create your own recipe. If you’ve got no clue at all how to create your own recipe, you can turn to the online drink recipe generator.

The brain of this guy is a Windows XP computer. You can even set password to allow only certain people to access it. This security feature is definitely needed while you’re having this at home. Imagine, if it could be just picked up by your kids who are only 10 year-old plus, then they’ll throw their school bags aside and start making their own brew using MyFountain. MyFountain isn’t any cheap gadget, since it’s quite a smart one, so it carries a pretty high price tag, starting at $2,500. Perhaps,l Microsoft would be interested to play a part later on a better version of MyFountain by incorporating its coffee table surface technology into it.
