Doesn’t it sound cool if you could control your watch by gesture remotely without touching it? Researchers at Georgia Institute of Technology have developed a working prototype that is able to recognize gesture. So, to control it, you can just simply wave your hands, point your fingers, have a couple of rounds of “rock, paper, scissors” with it, but without touching it. The Gesture Watch is loaded with couple of Infrared sensors, which are capable of detecting hand movements in close proximity to the watch. The watch is also loaded with software that is able to interpret the gestures. I’m not too sure if there is a function that lets you pre-program the gesture patterns as per your choice or it can only recognize a default set. Anyway, it’s still a prototype.
