A building made of water? That is a project by MIT engineers and architects, which they’ve designed a building that is made of water and they’re gonna show it to the world next year at the International exhibition in Spain. The building made of water, or so-called the “digital water pavilion”, which is some kind of digitally controlled water curtains, that is planed to be located at the entrance to the Expo next year in Spain.
The concept of the digital water is similar to having your inkjet printers on a large scale to control droplets of falling water. There will couple of valves controlled by computer, which open and close at high frequency to form curtains of falling water, having pattern of pixels created by air and water on it.
The water curtains even acts pretty much like a very large interactive display, with text, letters and interactive patterns on it. It’ll even interact with object thrown onto it to form some interesting patterns.
