Cool hat chills your out!
Again, the weather is too hot. Simply having the cooling shirt might not be sufficient to cool you down. Thanks to Hammacher Schlemmer, which has just added an accessory to the line, so you can wear it together with the USB cooling shirt as a complete set to cool you down from head to tail! The cooling hat from Hammacher makes use of patented Hydroweave system that actually uses the sun energy to cause evoporation to take heat away from your head. To use it, you need to get the hat wat, so when the water evaporates it’ll then cool your head down. But I feel it’s little inconvenient that you have to wet it up whenever you wanna wear it under the sun. Anyway, if you can’t find any water source around to wet it up. Perhaps, your sweat would be sufficient to wet it up after being exposed under the hot sun for couple of hours, which might bring similar effect. Shouldn’t it contain a little high-tech element, such as a tiny reservoir, so you can store up some water for later use, and it will sprinkle itself automatically when going under the sun?

[...] When I was writing the post of the cooling hat, I had a little silly thought, perhaps, the hat could have little high tech element i.e. able to pull water out of the air to wet itself up in order to automate its cooling effect. I think it should be possible, a tiny device that extracts dampness from the air. Anyway, the tiny one, I’m not too sure, but I know there is such a concept device being worked out by some researchers. It’s called Max Water, which is a device able to extract water from the air and turn it into clean water suitable for drinking. This is definitely a great relief for many undeveloped countries where water is insufficient to meet the demand. The device is powered by wind and the inventor claims that it is capable of generating water 10,000 liters of water each day. Of course, it is an expensive device that will cost around $43,000. It’s only small amount of money for the rich, as long as they’re a bit generous to donate some to buy this device, which could save thousands of people in those poor areas and villages. [...]
