Noone is willing to do a stress test as what PC world did for the freshly unboxed iPhone. Thanks to PC world especially to fullfill the curiousity about how durable an iPhone is. The two tests carried out are based on the most common carelessness that could possibly damage an iPhone, which are scratch and drop. Details after the jump!
For the scratch test, the iPhone was stuffed into a plastic bag that is full of sharp objects such as house and car keys and key chains and the bag given a few good shakes. It’s good newsl, this little torture didn’t bring any scratch at all on the iPhone’s screen. Then a stricter test was given, keys were rubbed against the iPhone screen with fair amount of force. And also keys used to gouge the screen. The result was no scratch at all on the iPhone’s screen!
For the drop tests, there were three, with each having increased severity. First, the iPhone was dropped from a wasit height. Then from chest height onto a hard linoleum floor. Finally, it was let to slip and bounce onto a concrete sidewalk from head height! Impressive! iPhone continues to work after all these stringent tests and it still looks good, only having few gouges on its metal edge due to the result of concrete drop! But , there was no scratch at all on its screen! Convinced? Check out here for the video of the tests.
