Sanyo seems to be pretty aggressive in improving their projector product line. We’ve seen the extremely short focus projector from Sanyo before. And now they’ve just introduced to us two new models, which managed to grab the title of “world’s brightest projector”. The two new model are the Sanyo PLC-XF47 and PLC-XP100L. To be more precise, the 15,000 lumen PLC-XF47 should be crowned with the title of “world’s highest light output”, while the 6500 lumen PLC-XP100L should hold the “brightest portable LCD projector” title.
The PLC-XF47 is equipped with four 330-watt lamps, which is capable of wireless HD streaming, 2000:1 contrast ratio, and projecting 720p and 1080i video up to 100 feet away with less than a millisecond of latency and 1024 x 768 resolution. The PLC-XP100L uses a 330-watt lamp, a 10bit video circuit. This unit has an Active Maintenance Filter System that provides air flow control and automatic cleaning when necessary. This unit is capable of a 1024×768 resolution, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and a throw distance of 31 to 400-inches. Both models are loaded with the software PJ-NET Organizer Plus C and the PJ-NET Master Ver. 2.0, which are controllable remotely. For the price, the PLC-XP100L is only a third of the price of PLC-XF47. The PLC-XF47 will cost $30,000 and will be out around in October. The PCL-XP100L will be out in September for only $10,000.
