According to him, this bicycle is a dual bike, which you can take it for a ride to and from work every day and also for trekking cross-country. The intention behind of having this bicycle built of wood, is simply the designer believes that wood is more lightweight, up to 10 times stiffer than fibreglass and nearly 6 times stiffer than a kevlar/epoxy composite.
