Sounds cool! Having gadgets made out of wood. This is what the Japanese company, MARUBENI INFOTEC, has shown us couple of its products made out of wood. The range includes computer peripherals such as keyboard, USB memory, card reader, and USB hub. One thing I’m concerned about these wood-made gadgets is if they could stand the test of termites. Of course, this issue needs to leave it to the owner on how they could effectively get termites out of their living environment. More pictures and info after the jump!
By the way, I’m not too sure what the idea behind to have gadgets made of wood. Isn’t it again related to eco-friendliness? It doesn’t sound like. As getting gadgets made out of wood, then you’ll need to cut more trees, which would kill more beautiful forests.
The design of these gadgets are done by the design firm Hacoa. There is no info about the pricing and availability yet.
