If you have noticed, there are some little cute buttons before the end of each post. That is the new way one-click commenting by Clickcomments that I’ve just integrated on TechChee here. This one-click commenting is the service provided by Postreach. Once you have got it incorporated with your blog, then it’ll then present you with several buttons as shown above. Which all these buttons represent various user-responses, such as insightful, entertaining and great find etc. This is one of the quickest way for your readers to comment on your blog, which there is only a need for a mouse click. But one thing is the comment buttons relate all to positive comments, leaving no choice for the readers to leave a negative comment. The posts that have received comments are then listed on the Postreach website, which your blog will get the chance to get traffic from Postreach website. More info after the jump!
To integrate the Clickcomments onto your blog is fairly easy. Just go to Clickcomments website, you’ll then be presented by a form to enter your blog’s URL, choose the category and language which your blog belongs to and an optional email. (Anyway, there are little glitches after submitting the form showing an error web page (Application errors (Rails)), but you still can get to right instruction page by reloading your browser again) The Clickcomments will then automatically detect what platform your blog is and show you the way how to do it. For example, for wordpress user, then it’ll show you to download the wordpress Clickcomments plugin. After the download, just unzip it and upload the plugin to your wordpress plugin folder and proceed to your wordpress admin account to activate that plugin. An instruction page will be shown to you after reloading your browser as mentioned above. It looks like no much info about what blogging platforms it support. I guess those famous ones such as wordpress, blogger etc. I’ve also tested with blogger (blogspot), it showed me an instruction page on how to do it on blogger. So, feel free to click any of the cute buttons for this post and other posts on TechChee.

I find it strange that the button that looks like poop (the first one) means Cool Stuff
. Not having a negative makes this a a bit of a waste – I guess it is more like the vote buttons some blogs have.

Yup, some buttons a bit confusing… btw I’m not 2sure what it actually means for the 4th button saying “write more”. Is it a negative asking the writer to write more, which means practise more in writing b4 publishing any blog post … hahaha or it’s simply an encouraging sign, asking the writer to write more similar posts
