I&#8217;ve taken the very first step, that was quickly to make use of the Local Database API to build my very first Google Gears app. This is mainly due to my background is more on database apps and Java, that&#8217;s why I chose the local DB API to start with. It&#8217;s really amazing that what Google has done, which allows JavaScript applications to make use of relational database engine to store data and SQL statements to manipulate data locally.
