In the past, I’ve always learned that in order for a speaker system to produce best sound quality, they should carry some big size woofer or subwoofer. But, now it seems like this theory doesn’t apply to the newly released home theater system of Sony, the DAV-IS10. The DAV-IS10 home theater system is made up of 5 super tiny speakers, which each of them is as big as a golf ball only. And the combination of these 5 golf-ball-sized speakers capable of producing 5.1 channel surround sound that has equal quality with those full size speakers.
The system’s DVD/CD player can upscale DVDs to 720p or 1080i output when connected via HDMI to a compatible high-def TV. Other features include the touch sensitive controls and the Digital Media Port for wireless music streaming.
This super tiny home theater system is expected for release in U.S this July for about $800.00.
