AssureFlow bladder controller, for helping those suffering from urinary incontinenceFor busy office workers, you’ll probably always try not to drink too much water a day, simply for the sake to avoid from going to the loo too often. But now, it sounds like not far in the future, there will be some kind of device, the AssureFlow, that could help you control your bladder, so you could have more time focus on your work. Well, the AssureFlow is meant for helping those suffering from urinary incontinence, who have weak bladders as well as others who lack the normal level of control. I guess you and me, who are pretty healthy shall not be considered in this group. Occassionally, I do feel that I frequent more the toilet during those days I drink more water or rainy days. Anyway, this device needs some kind of implant. Obviously, it’s meant for suffering patients. It consists of two parts – an internal valve that needs to be implanted in the urethra of the patient, and a hand-held actuator that uses inductive heat to turn the valve on and off.
