Bionic baby seal keeps old folks away from lonelinessFor those living in big city such as Tokyo, you will be left pretty lonely once you get old. Why? City life is definitely hectic, and once your kids have grown up, then they need a job, and their busy life and job will keep them traveling frequently. And also, that is the trend in the society, which young people do not stay with the parents, when they’ve grown up and can be independent on their own. Luckily, the Japanese government has realized this problem among the old folks. What they’ve been doing with 12 million dollars in the past two years, is developing robots that can accompany the old people.

These robots come in the shape of a cute baby harp seal. The robots contains some internal motion sensor, which responds accordingly to petting, scratching, and holding. It also emits cute seal-like chirps and sheds its “fur”. This kind of baby seal will also bring some kind of social interaction, you know, it’s just like bringing your puppy for a stroll. Once you meet up with a friend, then you’ll stop by, have a chat and also making some kind of comparison among you guys for your little baby seals. But this little baby seal is pretty expensive, which costs around $3,500.00. It simply hints that you need to be rich enough in order not to be lonely when you get old. So, young folks, work harder and smarter now to get rich, to prepare a path that will keep loneliness away from you when you’re old!
