Study shows that iPods could kill!

iPod could kill!Whether you like it or not, those favorite gadgets of yours, such as iPod could actually be one of the cause of the death of a person. Today, we’re all surrounded with high-tech gadgets, and almost all of them are emitting EM (Electromagnetic) wave. Although the emitted EM wave has no strong proof yet to show there is any direct or significant effect to our body. (Oopps!I guess this statement could be true only for young folk but not for old folk). But at least it’s got something to do with some electronic medical devices i.e making it malfunction, which indirectly caused the misinterpretation by medical professionals of the device’s reading and followed by causing the death of a patient due to heart attack.

There was an experiment carried out by a 17-year-old high school student to a meeting of heart specialists on Thursday. The experiment showed that iPod caused pacemaker, a device that keeps track of patient’s heartbeat, to malfunction and even stop functioning, due to the interference of the EM wave emitted by iPod! The test was carried on each pacemaker patient. Interference was detected when the iPod was about 2 inches from the patient’s chest for 5 to 10 seconds. In some cases, the interference can also be caused even the iPod is up to 18 inches away. The interference caused misreading of the pacemaker, which there was a case that caused it stop functioning completely.

Oopps! It looks like the fake Steve Jobs has got some interesting things to say about the iPod, claiming that they were already aware about the problem for quite some time and even took some effort to crank up the voltage on new models. As they simply don’t want old folk to use their iPod, which is deemed as ruining their image!

Anyway, I personally think there is some significant effect of those EM wave emitted by gadgets to our body. It’ll at least kill our body’s cell gradually. For young folk, of course, your body metabolism is still pretty active, which means new cells keep on getting produced to replace the dead cells. But for old folk, their body will be slow in response to producing new cells, which means having gadgets around them could bring pretty significant effect, perhaps, killing them gradually. Anyway, I hope TechChee’s readers, the gadgets lovers, will not keep yourselves away from the interesting gadgets, if you do so, at least not keep yourselves away from reading TechChee. TechChee doesn’t emit any harmful EM wave! I know your WiFi-capable PC does, then stop uing WiFi, use wired!
