It’s time to catch up with some cell phones. Again, this time is from Sony Ericsson, its new phone, S500, which gives two versions of colors for its housing, both inspired by the natural world, they are the Mysterious green and the Spring yellow. I particularly like the Spring Yellow, as shown in the picture. This new phone is a 14mm slim slider and the specialty is it offers changing in-phone themes and external lighting effects that change with the season. The design is pretty lively, with the external lighting effects, it gives you the kind of visuals that the desktop and the phone menu will change automatically as the seasons pass or as day turns to night. This natural-world-inspired cell phone is based on the Sony’s Walkman phone series that we’ve seen quite a number earlier on. So it’ll ship with wired stereo headphones and the Disc2Phone software, and is compatible with Bluetooth A2DP wireless headphones as well . This Sony Ericsson’s new phone is said to impress you and me by its natura-world-inspired themes and colors instead of its music-focused feature. Its features include quadband GSM plus EDGE (no HSDPA), a 2 megapixel cam, Memory Stick Micro expandability, nine hours talk and 370 hours standby. No word on carrier and pricing, expected to start shipping in Q2 and to reach North America in Q3.
