Sony just released two new compact printers in Korea, which are meant for printing directly from your digital camaras. These two printers simply can work well with your digital cameras without the need of a PC in between.
The two printers, DPP-FP90 and DPP-FP70 come with multiple card slots that work with 24 different types of memory cards. These two printers are equiped with Sony’s proprietary image processing engine, Bionz, which can support 48M high resolution image quality.
Their printing speeds are pretty fast consider they’re no laser printers, which takes about 45 seconds for high resolution printing. The DPP-FP90 has a 3.6″ LCD, whereas the DDP-FP70 has a smaller LCD display, which is only 2.5″. The LCD displays are meant for use for editing and touch-up of your photos before printing.
Since the printer is meant for carrying around with your portable digital camera, it also comes with a handle to make it handy. Other features include “superimpose”, which allows you to make notes on photos and also a pretty cool coating feature that can preserve your photos and make it reachable to the hands of your grand-grandchildren (The special coating can keep the photos intact for the next 100 years)
