With the advent of technology, it seems like we put most of our daily tasks into the hands of gadgets. Even now for planting a little tree or Bonsai, which possibly that we’lld hand it over to our computer to do it for us. This is currently is still a concept, which is again by Yanko Design, its’s a device called Energy Tree. The concept is to merge the nature with the advanced technology, i.e having your tree to be connected to a microprocessor, and its growth will be monitored and taken care by this microprocessor as well as monitoring if you use energy efficiently. Basically, the device, Energy Tree, as shown in the picture above, a little green box, which a tree is on it, will control the feeding and watering of the tree depending on the amount of energy you consumed. It does it by monitoring your appliances, heating/cooling, and recycling habits, provided you’re efficient with your energy use. Otherwise, then you’ll get the punishment, i.e it’ll start poisoning your little tree or killing it eventually. Basically this concept is hoping to change the perception and view of how power is being used.
