Xbox 360 notebook converter
Good news for Xbox gamers, it seems like there is a possibility to convert your Xbox 360 into a portable one, just like a notebook. This isn’t officially confirmed yet. A product by peripheral company, Hori, which they’d likely release Compact TFT Monitor EX, an LCD that you can easily connect to your Xbox 360. As shown in the attached picture, when the LCD is affixed on top of your Xbox 360, it will become a portable game machine, which you can just bring along anywhere you go.

The 12 inch monitor outputs 720p and takes its signal from Xbox 360 via the analogue RGB cables. It’s got two speakers below the monitor for sound, and it’s also has headphone jack, which you can plug in your headphones. The only downside is there is a need to find power source for your Xbox 360 and also the monitor, which makes it isn’t truely portable. The monitor is expected to come with its own AC power adapter. Furthermore, to carry it around, you’ll need to find a bag, which is big enough to hold the two. It looks pretty much thicker than any normal laptop bag can fit. It’ll be made available in Japan, most likely in July and it will cost around $310.00. It seems like Microsoft also has plan for a portable Xbox 360, I guess adding on the Hori’s monitor should be much cheaper than getting a new portable 360.

That’s just great. The damn thing was already scratching disc under normal working conditions on flat surfaces imagine what will happen if you try to play a game on the road. Not to mention that will have to blast the AC just to keep the damn thing from overheating. I wouldn’t do it. I use to do it with my PS2 but I wouldn’t do it with my 360. It’s just too risky. The damn thing is just to sensitive. I’ve already replaced it once just one week after buying it I don’t want to go through that again.
