Of course, it is a norm for us to see cellphones come with games. But, games on digital camera is probably what we’ve never heard before. The DXG USA has the first digital camera that comes with games.
They have just announced the new digital camera, DXG-589V, a five-megapixel camera , which also allows you to play games on it. One of the reasons that I could think of having games on digital camera would make it sticky. As you know, I always tend to forget to bring along my digital camera when going somewhere. If it’s loaded with my favorite games, perhaps, I’d treat it as one of my best companion and the tendency to forget bringing it along would be minimized.
To play games on the DXG-589V, you need to flip its screen around to create a Gameboy shape. It’s got 20 built-in games, including 2D and 3D titles, none are mentioned in the press release. Shooting MPEG-4 videos is also capable on DXG-589V at 640×480 resolution and 30 frames-per-second. It can also be plugged into your TV or DVD player to directly record video, which can be saved onto the device’s SD memory card. Other than this, it also has MP3 player and digital voice recorder. It seems like DXG is making use of the all-in-one concept as what we get on cellphones. So the DXG cam has almost all except the cellphone function. It’ll carry a price tag of $200.00.
