Catch up for cellphone, it’s Sony Erricson Ericsson’s new 3G phone, the W660 Walkman phone. It’s the new phone that is out to coincide with the Sony’s new MPS-75 snap-on phone speakers (pictured). The kind of speakers that can be powered by your cellphone and you send tunes to it via Bluetooth.

The W660 is available in a choice of Record Black and Rose Red. It features TrackID, which is the technology that can identify music via the Gracenote Mobile MusicID database. The storage can accommodate up to 470 tunes on the supplied Memory Stick Micro. It’s also has album art support for the media player, FM radio, two megapixel camera, two-inch TFT display, picture blogging and RSS feeds that can be sent directly to your phone’s “desktop”. The W660 Walkman phone will be available in the middle of 2007, same with the snap-on speakers, which will also be released around that time.

[...] Lets look at what the great features included on this phone. It’s a 3G phone so you can make video calls. It comes with a camera of 2 megalpixel, a memory card slot with hot swap functionality. As a walkman phone, surely it comes with the Walkman 2.0 music player and also Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo audio profile. Which means you can also send your tunes to the new Sony’s snap-on speakers via Bluetooth, similar to its younger brother, the W660, which we’ve seen before. And it’s also equiped with the TrackID technology. Another great thing is Sony includes a 1GB Memory Stick Micro M2 with this package. Other included accessories are USB cable and a stereo headset. [...] This natural-world-inspired cell phone is based on the Sony’s Walkman phone series that we’ve seen quite a number earlier on. So it’ll ship with wired stereo headphones and the Disc2Phone software, and is compatible with Bluetooth A2DP wireless headphones as well . This Sony Ericsson’s new phone is said to impress you and me by its natura-world-inspired themes and colors instead of its music-focused feature. Its features include quadband GSM plus EDGE (no HSDPA), a 2 megapixel cam, Memory Stick Micro expandability, nine hours talk and 370 hours standby. No word on carrier and pricing, expected to start shipping in Q2 and to reach North America in Q3. [...]
