1 million, is it a big figure? Well, to my surprise, it’s only 1 million. I’d always thought that Digg would have a much bigger registered users database.
Although I’ve never been monitoring the activities on Digg, but I’ve noticed that the frequency of digging activities seems to be pretty intensive. Well, anyway, congratulation to Digg. They had less than 50,000 in March, 2005 and hit 200,000 in March 2006. And now, March 2007, they’ve got 1 million registered users!
It’s a 5x increase year over year, which means they’d have hit 5 millions in March, next year and would have made it to 25 millions the year after! Ummmm! Digg shall start looking into planning ahead for their server hardware in order to cater for the 5x growth.
