The Samsung u740 just launched by Verizon today. It’s a mid-range phone with a unique dual-hinge design that allows the phone to open like a standard clamshell for phone calls or in landscape orientation for texting and other data functions.
Despite this hinge and a full QWERTY thumb-board, it is still quite thin. Some of the keys double as a number pad when the phone is opened for voice calls. The u740 features EV-DO high speed data, Bluetooth, a 1.3 Megapixel camera and Micro SD slot. It is available for $150 with a 2 year contract and rebate.
