[...] There are only about 9-10 days before the actual release date of iPhone, June 29th. Although, I’ve heard enough about iPhone, but anyway just to catch up, at least to know what Apple’s latest plan about it here. So, the most recent announcement by Apple is it’ll give it an upgrade even before its release. And the upgrade will involve longer battery life and quality glass for its surface instead of plastic. So, we’ll get to see iPhone to come with battery that can provide up to 8 hours of talk time, 6 hours of Internet surfing, and 250 hours of standby time. Other than the battery life, as mentioned, another upgrade is iPhone will get optical-quality glass for its surface instead of plastic, which will be more durable to stand scratches and give better optical clarity. Does Apple feel strong competition from those iPhone-look-alike and the Chinese clones, so they now rush for a upgrade in order to stay competitive? [...]

[...] A few months ago we were talking about a number of iPhone clones coming into the Asia. One the clones was Meizu, and now it’s out in China and it’s call Hua Long IP2000. Not only it shares the general look and feel of an iPhone and the most daring part of this Meizu’s clone is it comes with a large image of apple behind. Specification wise, it’s got a 3.5 inch display, both MP3 and MPEG 4 playback and even a 2 megapixel camera. It costs you only $140 for the Hua Long IP2000, almost half price of the original. For those in Asia, now you don’t have to wait another year more, which you can straight away get a “preview” of iPhone. Of course, you’re the real fan of Apple, then just wait till the real apple comes instead of wasting your $140.00 for the intellectual property thief. In China, there isn’t any copyright laws that can protect your pattern from copycats. So, what can Apple do for this? Lets keep an eye of it! [...]

[...] It seems like before Apple iPhone hitting the Asia market in 2008, numerous Asian cellphone manufacturers are rushing to produce iPhone look-alike. After seeing the LG Prada and the Meizu, here is the answer of Samsung to iPhone. The newly announced Samsung phone is one of those in the Ultra series, the Samsung Ultra Smart F700, which is slidable! Once fully slide out, a QWERTY keyboard will be shown to you.
