Some people, like myself, need to be able to connect to their desktop from another computer, whether it be at work, on a laptop, or even at school. Well an easy way to do this is by getting the freeware Hamachi.
Hamachi is a centrally managed virtual private network, or VPN, that establishes direct links between computers without configuration. Hamachi enables you to access another computer by installing the program on the end-user’s computer.
When you install Hamachi it adds a virtual network interface, which makes it easy for you to accept inbound connections as well as make outbound connections. Hamachi also has a very good security system, which keeps other users out of your VPN so no need to worry about someone watching you or hacking into your connection to pass malicious files.
Hamachi is available for Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows. This program is a must have for anyone who wants to connect to their computer for such things as small file editing to even the bigger projects. Hamachi comes in to forms of downloads, You have the Free version, which is good for typical users, and then you have the Premium which is for more of a administrator type with such features as more users for the vpn, banning of users, and other moderation utilities.
Basically, if you want a good computer-to-computer connection through the internet, I strongly suggest you hit up Hamachi.
