I really wanna express my praise to Microsoft, its Vista SideShow technology has triggered the production of a handful of innovative accessories for the Vista-capable boxes.
Before, we’ve seen some remote controls and now this time is a Wearable Display Module, by Eleksen! The module can be sewn into a sack or handbag. It is a mini LCD and control pad for Windows Vista’s SideShow feature.
The module shown at CES 2007, a prototype, which you can have it sewn on your laptop bag or handbag, have your laptop or palmtop/UMPC inside, plugged into the USB port, and still be able to check your e-mail on the the external 2.5-inch LCD. The module includes a 7-button fabric keypad and 1 GB of storage.
Eleksen licenses its technology to other parties to integrate into their products. The SideShow handbags could be in production by summer for about $250.
It’s great for “techies”, carry a UMPC inside this handbag when go shopping, you will easily get alerted of any new emails, stop by anywhere for replying when you feel like!
